  • Rockenwagner has been developing his own unique cooking style, seamlessly fusing the best of European and Californian cuisines.

  • Rockenwagner is most famous as the Asparagus King of Los Angeles, holding his annual White Asparagus Festival each spring.

  • The Los Angeles Times has consistently named his restaurant Rockenwagner one of the best in Southern California.



Culinary Training:

  • Completed his apprenticeship in the Black Forest, Germany

  • Ran the two-star Michelin restaurant Zum Adler, Basel, Switzerland

  • Worked under Jovan Trboyevic at Le Perroquet in Chicago, USA

  • 1984 opened his own restaurant, Rockenwagner, in Santa Monica

  • 1999 opened his restaurant ROCK in Marina del Rey

  • 2002 opened his restaurant Ballona Fish Market
